Southern Tré Steakhouse

Located in the heart of downtown Columbia, Southern Tré Steakhouse creates a space where family and friends can come enjoy a great meal or simply say hello. Open since 2016, the restaurant has a large variety of menu options ranging from seafood to pasta, to steak of course! What better way to spend your time than with great food, great cocktails, and an atmosphere full of all the Tennessee charm that our wonderful town of Columbia has to offer.

Voted Best Outdoor Dining Space for many years running, the outdoor patio at Southern Tré is set in the famous (infamous) Whiskey Alley. It is surrounded by the beautiful architecture of yesteryear, with lots of open seating to enjoy the Middle-Tennessee weather we love. Live music is also another reason to secure a patio table, as Southern Tré brings in local artists to perform on Thursdays when the weather permits.

Upstairs at Southern Tré, there are two private event spaces booked for weddings, showers, corporate meetings, birthday parties, and much more throughout the year. It is the goal of Southern Tré’s event staff to provide the best possible services to the wonderful community of Columbia.

Southern Tré is not just about steak and seafood but offers an extensive menu exciting for even the most discerning palette. If you enjoy great food, an uplifting atmosphere, and being around friends and neighbors, we are always here to serve you.

The restaurant is owned and operated by the Terry family: Ralph, Barbara, Julia, and Brandt. Ralph got his start in the BBQ business in North Houston, Texas and still owns the local favorite, Pit-Master BBQ. His love for food and family brought him back to his home state of Tennessee. With dreams of being close to music and Memphis, Ralph found the perfect place to settle down in Columbia, TN. The family relocated from Texas over a year ago and are proud members of the Noon Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce.

Daughter, Julia Terry and fiancé, Brandt Archer’s musical career first drew the family to the Nashville area, but once they laid eyes on Southern Tré and spent months getting to know Columbia and the spectacularly friendly people, they knew it was home.

The Terry’s are always around to greet and enjoy the company of the restaurant’s patrons. “We were welcomed to Columbia to an extent I have never encountered in my 64 years of life, and we intend to spend the rest of our days with our new friends here in this great town.”
– Ralph Terry

Coming soon, Whiskey Alley Saloon will be open in the building adjacent to our patio and next door to the restaurant to bring a touch of the wild west to Columbia. With period architecture, this high-end cocktail lounge will provide upscale whiskies, cocktails, and draft beer as an exciting new menu unlike any other in Columbia.

The Southern Tré wants to say thank you to all the great people of Columbia for the overwhelming welcome and support received over the past few years, and especially during the last year. We look forward to serving you soon!
