Opening the doors for her new business in December 2025, Hobbs is passionate about continuing the personalized service and quality craftsmanship that customers received from Helm’s Jewelry.

“I started when I was in my early 20s working at a jewelry store in Green Hills,” Hobbs said. “Later on, I worked for Pat and Debbie Greene here in Columbia at Helm’s Jewelry and then transferred over to another store when the Greenes retired. When that store closed, I opened Sloan Jewelry & Gifts the same day, welcoming the next era where Helm’s Jewelry once was.”
